Impressions....

Playing Super Mario Sunshine in such a lucid and thoughtful atmosphere, i began noticing a number of meanings behind some of the game's components... i've commented before how Shigeru Miyamoto's games have some hidden messages... The Legend of Zelda : Majora's Mask for example, have an overwhelming sense of racism and seperation of species... and some racism continues with Mario Sunshine, but it may have another meaning... and also the addition of domestic violence thanks to fucking around...

Super Mario Sunshine takes place on a tropical island of beauty and traquility.. yet its residence are hediously ugly... now what do you suppose Miyamoto meant by this ?... what island resorts do we know of in our own world.. there's Hawaii and Bahamas... also Cancun.. and Jamaica for examples.. do you suppose Miyamoto is commented how inferiorly ugly other races of earth are to the japanese ?... how they are only there to serve the Japanese, and are irrelevant to their culture.. Miyamoto is up to his tricks again...

although further looking at the meaning behind the residents.. could he be searching for a type of balance in the world of Mario Sunshine... create an ugly race of people to be housed in such a beautiful island... to distort our own human image.. is Miyamoto saying that as a people we emphasize too much on our looking, when beauty is all around us... is that why Mario and Peach look so normal ?.. because they have inner beauty and as such, display it for everyone to see ?..

Speaking of Mario and Peach... i know not of their past, but i know their present up the point i've gotten to in the game... it seems that Bowser and Peach have a son, who is tormenting this island paradise... thanks to Peach's fucking around, Mario now has his own set of problems.. now what do you suppose Miyamoto was trying to say here ?.. don't let your girl fool around, because it'll bite you in the ass ?.. thats not a very correct statement... and it doesn't mean anything about custody battles, because the kid wants the mother back...

ah.. perhaps Miyamoto is showing how seperation of parents, can really damage a child mentally... and this kid couldn't have started with much intelligence having Bowser as a father... the child lashes out violently and irresponsibly at his mother's new boyfriend... he doesn't want a replacement father.. he wants both his father and his mother together.. with him... so the child frames Mario as the villian in the island of Del Sol ( of whatever ).. and then waits for the fish to take the bait...

such violent behavior.. the only one that acts civilized is Peach... and she's the one who fucked around, and started this whole however many years ago... now what do you suppose Miyamoto was thinking of at this point of the development ??.. that women are to blame for men's violent actions ?... or that women are the downfall of society and hot vacation spots... Shigeru Miyamoto has such anger in him... what a genius to lash out in a child's game where they have no idea whats going on...

I still have a ways to go in the game, so the observations will continue on with my progression in the game... Miyamoto's vision of modern society is a dark one, but he masks his true feelings well behind a veil of simplicity meant for a child... not since Where's Waldo have children been brainwashed so ingeniously...

yawn... Super Mario Sunshine is one of the most tediously frustrating games i've played for a long while.. i mean, Wipeout Fusion was tediously frustrating.. but only a fraction compared to Mario.. gawd.. the camera is not your friend... whenever you fall a semi-large distance it will always try and move behind you, when its the exact opposite of what you want... i wish it would just stay on the side view of the screen, so i can see what i'm doing, instead of the camera moving into the wall, where it couldn't possibly help me out...

The residence of Isle Delfino are greedy... good lord.. their whole town is under darkness and some of the people in the town are in possesion of these sun sprites... some guy whose house i wandered into, said he'd give me a sun sprite if i rid the room of all his boxes.. what fucking arrogance.. do you think possibly you could lend a hand to your village instead of being lazy.. but that doesn't compare to the tanoki on the dock... he sells them ... you sell your freedom ?!! what the hell, in times such as these, you are trying to make a profit...

i'd go on but there is much more you can learn from this discussion on the Spamm board as we discuss the true meanings of this game... check it out and post your thoughts...

ech.. Mario Sunshine is dumb... but at least i've beaten it, and its all water under the bridge... goodbye idiotic game... levels in that game are so completely frustrating that you'll want to completely demolish your controller... its just Nintendo trying to "toughen" up their gamers... making them completely dependent on their addictive games.. i don't recommend the use of Mario Sunshine to anyone... boo this game...
