Impressions....

after playing this game for just a couple of moments.. i was hooked.. this game will suck you in and won't let go.. and you'll love every minute of it...

the graphics are above par.. very detailed car textures.. right down to the tiny 'mitsubishi' lettering on the 3000GT.. although the graphic look very good on screen.. some of the graphics are flawed.. on the test drive course the sun makes the car very very dark.. which is unnatural.. some of the grass textures are rather plain.. and the colors are just a bit too bright to be real.. the best graphics are when you are racing on the night courses.. then the suns light doesn't mess anything up...

the gameplay is exactly what you expect from Gran Turismo.. very very sensitive movement.. the car parts are just as detailed.. many of the annoying little problems of the past have been corrected.. the tune up shop is seperate from the dealership.. so you now don't have to be searching through all the dealerships to find the tune shop.. nor are the dealership holding any races.. all races are in one spot.. instead of having the beatle race at the VW dealer, its in the racing lists where it belongs...

another great tool is the option of turning off some of the crappy songs Sony puts on this game.. you can turn off and move around songs in any order you desire..

the only real drawback to the game is that its too addictive.. frankly i'm kinda sick of playing the game.. i've played it too much.. everything is just so repetitive.. the same courses over and over again.. once you get to the point of not having any better car.. well.. you just beat races and add to your pile of money..

in that frame of mind you start thinking of things that they could have added to the game.. like a good multiplayer mode.. i'd hope they'd do a completely online version of the game.. where you'd walk to the dealership.. perhaps meet some other people there too.. you could talk to them.. in the races venue.. you could place bets on races.. as well as win earning too.. bet cars, bet money.. it'd be great..
