Impressions....

oh my... well.. if you've seen this movie you would definetly be surprised.. if you're an idiot.. you'd be surprised at the wonderous computer animation.. and you would love it.. if you're not an idiot.. you'd be surprised how bad this movie is..

where to begin.. well.. the voice acting was no where near par.. it felt to me like the actors were just reading it off the page.. they hardly gave any emotion into their voices.. it was pretty bad..

the next thing was the characters.. faceless people who you really didn't care about.. with the exception of Aki, no other character really had a background.. there were just there and they didn't really have a reason.. making them very transparent and boring..

the story was mediocur.. having the stereotypical Final Fantasy type story.. where the 'good' main characters save the earth from the 'evil' main character..

but the one thing that was VERY cool was the computer during the action sequences.. Squaresoft showing off why it is good at what it does.. although during the scenes where the characters are talking to each other.. the looked very different from humans.. more like puppets.. i was reminded of the old british show, thunderbirds for more than one instance..

the only thing that really carried this movie was the label of Final Fantasy.. it would have done even worse if it was something else.. but what can we expect from the branch of squaresoft that brought us Final Fantasy Mystic Quest...
